Lovers of steam are in for a treat. On the first full weekend of September (September 2 & 3, 2023), the VSM traditionally organizes the largest steam train festival in the Netherlands under the name: “Back to Whenâ€.
A large number of restored steam locomotives will be active on both days. With a length of almost 23 meters and a service weight of 130 tons and more, these machines are among the largest that have circulated in Europe.
